The Right Trigger is used to fire weapons and throw grenades. When used in combination with the left trigger, the right trigger shoots where the reticle is placed on the screen. When pulled without the left trigger active you can blind fire with the active weapon.

Blind Fire

Pulling the right trigger without over the shoulder aiming active allows you to blind fire. Blind fire differs from regular fire in that there is no aiming reticle. Depending on the weapon, the shots can be marginally less accurate or considerably less accurate. In the case of the Lancer rifle the over the shoulder method creates a close spread and blind firing creates an approximately 1-foot spread. Shotguns, on the other hand, fire with the same spread regardless, and are very useful for blind fire, range permitting. If behind cover, blind firing allows for shooting without exposing the body and head to enemy fire. Otherwise, the main advantage is the wide angle view afforded by blind fire.
